Of An Amazing Baby!

Even though her chances were slim, this amazing little person was determined that she would overcome the life threatening obstacles that almost took her out of this world the very second she arrived. At only six months gestation, she came into our world full of gusto and her mind made up that she would not let go of the most precious thing that each of are born with, Life itself.

The most memerable thing in a mother's life is when she gets to to take her baby home to be with family and loved ones. Marica needed to stay in the hospital under constant surviellance for over three months to better the chances of her survival. Her family would spent most of their time at the hospital instead of at home so that they could be near her. Here she is with her Mom and her GreatGranmother smiling beside her.

A Record Breaking Baby Girl!

This amazing event took place at the "Southern Regional Women's Center" in Clayton County Georgia. The new obstetric complex had not been open a year when Marica was born there in March. So as of the moment she holds the record for being the smallest baby brought into this world there at the women's center.

Medical or Mind?

The photo above was taken right after Marica had been released from "N.I.C.U.", the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. After several months of Marica being taken care of by the medical team in the special Unit, her fragile body was able to be treated more like a normal new born. Thanks to gifted talents of Dr.Valez and Dr.Adae, and Marica's strong will, she was finally able to go home to family.
